Philippe Lamontagne resigns as president of the UPA Pontiac devision
The UPA Pontiac division will now have to elect a new president after Philippe Lamontagne resigned yesterday. CHIP 101.9 recently contacted Lamontagne, who, in an discussion, explained that his commitment to teaching the CFP Pontiac’s cooking class has made it difficult to fulfill his duties as the President of the UPA and to represent the producers in the Pontiac to the best of his abilities. He said that Pontiac must have their voice heard at the regional and provincial levels and if we want to keep moving forward, the position of UPA president in the Pontiac must be filled by someone who has the time to do so.
