Le Patro organizing Winter Carnival in February

Le Patro organizing Winter Carnival in February

15 January 2025 à 2:22 pm

On February 21 and 22, the Patro invites you to its traditional Winter Carnival, a festive and convivial event that promises to warm your hearts despite the winter chill.

The party kicks off on Friday evening at 6 p.m. at the Club de l’Âge d’or de Fort-Coulonge. In a French-language interview, organizer Suzie Lavigne explains what to expect:

Participants are still needed for the Talent Night, so this is your chance to get on stage and share your skills. Afterwards, DJ Martin Leguerrier will provide the musical ambiance for a wild evening, for adults, at a cost of $5 per person.

A 2 vs. 2 field hockey tournament kicks off on Friday evening and runs throughout the Carnival. Form your team and register by contacting the Patro or Sébastien McCommeau.

On Saturday, February 22, the festivities continue with a rich program of activities for the whole family. Once again Suzie Lavigne:

Saturday’s activities include the Fort-Coulonge volunteer firefighters’ fishing tournament, at a cost of $15 per person. This will also be an opportunity for children to obtain their fishing permit.

A facilitator from the Ski Pontiac club will be on hand to give cross-country ski instruction open to all ages, and there will also be an opportunity to enjoy the Patro’s trails on snowshoes.

Whether you’re a winter sports fan, a dance enthusiast, or simply looking for a warm moment with family or friends, the Patro Winter Carnival is the event not to be missed.
