Panel discussions ahead of municipal elections

Panel discussions ahead of municipal elections

1 April 2025 à 9:25 am

As part of the “On the Road to My First Municipal Campaign” project, a series of panel discussions will be held in three of the region’s MRCs and in the City of Gatineau, to encourage women’s candidacies for the upcoming municipal elections in November. Invited elected officials will be invited to share their experiences and commitment to municipal politics.

In the Pontiac region, Warden Jane Toller, Mayors Christine Francoeur (Fort-Coulonge), Sandra Armstrong (Mansfield-et-Pontefract), Jennifer Quaile (Otter Lake), and Alleyn-et-Cawood pro-Mayor Sidney Squitti will address the participants. They will discuss their journeys, the reflections that guided their involvement, and what motivated them to take the leap into municipal politics. The event will be held in the Elsie Gibbons Room at the Pontiac MRC office on April 30 at 1 p.m.
