Pan-Canadian consultations on official languages: the public is invited to participate

8 September 2026 à 3:15 pm

The Government of Canada has launched the 2026 Canada-wide consultations on official languages.

An online questionnaire, accessible to all Canadians, is currently available. Provincial and territorial governments will also be consulted as part of this process.

Between now and November 2026, several consultation activities are planned across the country, including in-person sessions, as well as thematic, sectoral, and virtual meetings.

The feedback gathered will inform the federal government’s deliberations on the future of Canada’s official languages, English and French.

The public is invited to participate and share their views on issues affecting Francophone and Anglophone communities across the country.
