Outaouais first: a new strategy to encourage local purchasing
A new strategy to raise awareness and encourage people in the Outaouais region to buy locally from local businesses will be launched this week.
To highlight this launch, a discussion panel was organized with various entrepreneurs from the Outaouais region, including Mélisa Parenteau, owner of a spa in the Buckingham sector, who explained the steps she took at the start containment.
Marie-Claude Bonin Joly, owner of Marie papilles, a culinary business in the Gatineau Valley, hopes consumers will remain aware of the importance of encouraging local businesses following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Note that the director general of CHIP 101.9, François Carrier, acted as a panelist to represent the Pontiac. The discussion panel is available here:
The local purchasing campaign will be officially launched during five events taking place throughout the Outaouais region. To attend, people are asked to register to meet government-mandated health standards.
