Otter Lake resident charged with impaired driving in Renfrew County
On Saturday afternoon (April 5), a Pontiac resident was charged with impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in Whitewater Region Township in Ontario.
At around 5:30 p.m., the Renfrew OPP were called about a vehicle in the ditch on Hayley Road near Hwy. 17. When they arrived they found a vehicle partially submerged in water about 20 feet down in the ditch. The driver did not require medical attention.
A 37 year-old from Otter Lake was charged with impaired driving – alcohol and impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration over 80. Their license was suspended for 90 days and their car was impounded for 7 days.
