Operation Red Nose will not be offered in the Outaouais this year
Operation Red Nose will not be offered in the Outaouais this year due to the absence of a local organization to oversee the program. The Pat Burns Foundation, which previously operated the service, was unable to continue, and no other organization stepped in to take over. As a result, activities in the region will be suspended for 2025. Marilyn Vigneault, Executive Director of Operation Red Nose, provides all the details.
The safe-ride service will not be available in the greater Outaouais region during the holiday season. The organization hopes to resume operations in 2026 if a new partner comes forward. In the meantime, it remains important to plan safe travel and use other transportation options after festive evenings.
