Official return of the Pontiac Youth Council

The Pontiac Youth Council officially returned last night at the MRC Pontiac in Campbell’s Bay, where five out of the twelve members attended. Each of the attending members were presented by Warden Jane Toller, who said a few words before the presentations.

For this year’s edition, the Pontiac MRC has partnered with Carrefour Jeunesse-Emploi du Pontiac as a way to facilitate to the Youth Council’s projects in relation to the Carrefour’s réussite scholaire program. Karim El Kerch, Coordonnateur des Projets Jeunesse, talked about getting involved with the Youth Council.

The MRC was currently able to fill 12 out of a possible 18 positions and is looking for additional members. The next youth council meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 25th at 7 p.m. where the council will appoint their positions.
