October 5th, 2026 — World Teachers’ Day Putting Students First
On World Teachers’ Day, the Hautes-Rivières Education Staff Union (SPEHR-FSE-CSQ) pays tribute to the teachers of the Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais School Service Center.
This year’s theme is “Every day, teachers choose their students.”
SPEHR President Daniel Boisjoli highlights the essential role of teachers, who instruct, support, reassure, and motivate students, from preschool through adult education.
The union invites the public to take the time to thank teachers for their daily commitment.
For his part, Richard Bergevin, president of the Federation of Education Unions, points out that teachers work under conditions that are not always easy. He hopes their voices will be heard by the team that will form the next government.
The SPEHR represents some 350 teachers from all sectors within the Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais School Service Center.
Across Quebec, the Federation of Education Unions represents nearly 95,000 teachers, organized into 34 unions.
World Teachers’ Day will be celebrated on October 5th.
