Non-profit day camps may be closed this summer

L’Association des camps du Québec (ACQ) says that without adequate help, 71% of day camp and private summer camps or camps managed by a non-profit organization (NPO) could be forced to close this summer. The manager of the Notre-Dame de la Rouge Center, François Prévost explains the main challenges currently experienced in the field of day camps.

In the Outaouais region:

-50% will have to close in the summer of 2020 without government assistance

-50% are at risk of bankruptcy if they cannot open in the summer of 2020

-75% will be able to continue their activities in the summer of 2020 with government assistance
