New refrigeration equipment to be installed at Fort-Coulonge arena

The ice at the Centre de Loisir des Draveurs in Fort-Coulonge should be top-notch this coming season, as some brand new refrigeration equipment is set to be installed at the end of the summer.

Stephane Beland, the president of the arena committee, explained that they had needed to replace their aging equipment for some time.

The committee had received $250,000 in funding through the MRC’s FRR component 4 program, which would be supplemented by $24,400 each from the Municipalities of Fort-Coulonge and Mansfield-et-Pontefract, as well as another $34,000 from the arena committee.

Beland said that they were still waiting on all the parts to come in, but predicted that they would have everything installed by the end of August.
