New owners hold grand opening of Shawville shoe store

The new owners of Boutique Chausseurs Shawville Shoes on Main Street in Shawville held their grand opening on July 26.

When the previous owner Jill McBane decided retire and put her shoe shop up for sale last year, husband and wife team Stephane and Michelle Landry decided to step up and enter the world of retail. They took over the space in June. Stephane explained that he thought maintaining a shoe store in the area would be a good idea, as it’s something that people might be more hesitant about purchasing online.

He spoke about the work they’ve done renovating the space, adding new paint and wall racks.
