New Economic Development Director to be appointed at special MRC meeting Wednesday

MRC Pontiac has issued a notice for a special meeting of the council of mayors to take place on Wednesday, March 13 at 1 p.m., with two items on the agenda: the appointment of a new Economic Development Director, and the Abattoir – Les Viandes du Pontiac.

The Economic Development Director position has been vacant since Guillaume Boudreau departed in December after 13 months on the job. He was the fifth director to leave the position since 2016.

The sale of the Abattoir and its equipment was announced last month.
