MRC Pontiac launches COVID-19 SME recovery fund

During the most recent Regional Council of Mayors meeting, the MRC Pontiac officially launched the COVID-19 Economic Recovery Fund program for small and medium businesses (SMEs) in the region. According to the MRC’s Director of Economic development, Cyndy Phillips, the funds are intended to help businesses adjust to the new measures coming into the second wave of the Pandemic.

This new program accounts for $70,000 made available in the MRC Pontiac’s 2020 budget to help local businesses. The SMEs will be admissible for a total of $ 5,000 in the form of a non-repayable grant.
