MRC Pontiac launches call for development projects, $600k available
On May 14, local officials gathered at Brauwerk Hoffman Brewery in Campbell’s Bay to celebrate projects made possible through the Regions and Rurality Fund (FRR) components 2 and 4, as well as launch a call for projects for this year’s component 2, which has $600,000 available for community development.
Sabrina Ayers, a socio-economic development coordinator with MRC Pontiac, explained that the funding is available for municipalities, non-profit groups or band councils. She said that the priority is “structuring projects” such as municipality’s building infrastructure or non-profits purchasing equipment to increase their services.
She added that one of the conditions of receiving funding is that applicants have to meet with a member of the MRC’s economic development team. The deadline to apply is July 11, 2024 at noon.
The 2024 intervention priorities for the FRR component 2 are available here. More information is available by calling 819-648-5689 or emailing developpement@mrcpontiac.qc.ca.
