MRC Pontiac: encouraging inter-municipal cooperation in civil security
A draft civil security inter-municipal agreement was adopted at the most recent Regional council of mayors meeting on Wednesday. As of November 9th, all the municipalities in the province need to have an emergency response plan that will include alert systems, mobilization strategies and procedures, in addition to the minimum backup resources required to protect residents and their property’s in the event of a disaster. From the MRC Pontiac, the Director General, Bernard Roy.
It should be noted that the MRC Pontiac covers 18 municipalities across the region, in addition to a non-organized territory (TNO-Lac Nilgaut).
