MRC monthly meeting tonight, Alleyn-et-Cawood legal proceedings on agenda

The MRC Pontiac council of mayors will gather for their monthly public meeting tonight (March 19) at the MRC office in Campbell’s Bay. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Elsie Gibbons room, and will be streamed live to the MRC’s Facebook page.

Several items of note are on the agenda, including one regarding the legal proceedings against the Municipality of Alleyn-et-Cawood for the non-payment of their 2024 shares. Also of note is a resolution regarding the management of council sittings, which was discussed at the February meeting. Council will also be issuing a call for tenders for recycling collection and transport, discussing the firefighter training program in local high schools, and approving the FRR component 2 2024/25 budget.
