More fright than harm during Friday night collision on Hwy 148

A minor two-vehicle collision caused traffic delays Friday evening on Highway 148.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m near the Shawville exit toward Bristol, Gatineau-bound, when one vehicle rear-ended another, backing up traffic along that stretch of the road.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene. One person was taken to Shawville Hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators say there’s no indication of criminal activity, and traffic was flowing normally again later that evening.
