Mobile vaccination clinics coming to Pontiac

Regional health authority  CISSSO has announced that they will be hosting mobile vaccination clinics for respiratory diseases throughout the Pontiac territory over the coming weeks.

According to the CISSSO’s website, vaccination against influenza as well as COVID 19 is recommended for the following groups:

  • People living in residential and long-term care centers, private seniors’ residences or other collective environments with a high proportion of elderly and vulnerable people.
  • People aged 60 and over
  • People who are immunocompromised, on dialysis or living with a chronic illness
  • Pregnant women
  • Healthcare workers
  • Adults living in remote or isolated areas
  • People with babies aged six months and under

The statement from CISSO notes that there will be additional clinics in different sectors of the Pontiac, with more details to be announced shortly.

The details of the clinics for October are as follows:

Tuesday October 17: Quyon Community Centre (2 chemin du Ferry) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday October 18: Luskville Community Centre (2024 Hwy. 148) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday October 24: Rapides des Joachims CLSC (48 rue de l’église) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
