Mission accomplished for Michaela Cahill
Mission accomplished for Michaela Cahill
It’s almost done, Michaela Cahill, who rallied the people of Pontiac behind her, reached the final of La Voix on TVA. Happy to have reached this stage, Michaela Cahill had quite a challenge in front of her last Sunday by performing “Les uns contre les autres” from the musical show “Starmania”. Rather used to singing in English, Michaela Cahill said she was happy to have this chance to interpret pieces from the French repertoire.
“My experience at La Voix allowed me to immerse myself in French-speaking culture, something for which I will be eternally grateful,” said Michaela on her Facebook page. I was able to learn so much by working alongside the most famous artists from Quebec and I know that I will be able to carry within me this richness that is the Quebec Francophonie for the rest of my career.” She also thanked her coach Marc Dupré for his patience.
A phenomenon in the Pontiac
Support for Michaela Cahill was palpable everywhere in the Pontiac, banners in businesses, videos on Facebook, photos on Instagram, the region’s community rallied behind Michaela Cahill in large numbers. “I’m really touched, but I’m happy. I know the last few months haven’t always been easy, representing the region in the final makes me proud of this accomplishment because I couldn’t have done it without the people of the region “explained the native of Fort-Coulonge.
It’s a busy week ahead of Michaela Cahill. She will have to prepare all week for the final this Sunday. For her, one thing remains important, to offer a good show to the public.
Michaela Cahill will therefore join Suzie Villeneuve, Josiane Comeau and Flora Stein (Gatineau) in the final. The full interview with Michaela Cahill is available here.
