Metro Mansfield will hold a fundraising bottle and can collection Saturday
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Québec government announced that grocery and corner stores would no longer be allowed to accept used bottles and cans. However, after discussions with the government, large grocery chains were granted leniency for bottle and can collections.
This Saturday, May 23rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Metro Mansfield will be allowing Pontiac residents to bring their used bottles to the parking lot beside the store, as a fundraiser for Bouffe Pontiac and the Centre de Loisirs des Draveurs.

Sylvie Beland added that there are certain conditions to follow for residents who are interested in bringing their used cans and bottles this Saturday .
According to Beland, the Metro may offer bottle and can collections the following weekend depending on the demand and contribution of the Population this Saturday.
