Members resolve to give the Caisse the possibly to bring head office to Mansfield

Yesterday, the members of Caisse Desjardins des Rivières de Pontiac resolved to allow the Caisse to study the possibility of establishing their head office in the municipality of Mansfield. Out of the 215 members; 168 voted in favor, against the less than fifty members who would have wanted the head office to remain in the municipality of Fort-Coulonge. Following the decision of the members, CHIP 101.9 spoke to the General Manager of the Caisse, Stéphane Labine, to get his impression:

The resolution sparked whispers among the audience that the decision to move the Caisse to Mansfield had already been taken. Once again, Stéphane Labine;

Several comments and questions concerning the resolution were made during the meeting, question pertaining to the formulation of the resolution. As explained by the President of the Caisse, Madeleine Vallières, it would seem that there were legally bound to phrase the resolution as such.
