Masks mandatory in Outaouais health facilities

Regional health authority CISSSO has announced that starting Tuesday, October 10, procedural masks will be mandatory in all health facilities, including hospitals, CLSCs, long-term care facilities and La Ressource Rehabilitation Center. The statement notes that the decision was made due to a recent increase in the circulation of respiratory diseases in the region.

“The priority of the CISSS de l’Outaouais is to ensure the safety of the most vulnerable users and all health personnel who work tirelessly for their well-being,” the statement reads (tranlsated). “If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, we ask you to be vigilant and to postpone any visit to a hospitalized or housed person. For those who come to receive care or services, we ask for their cooperation in order to immediately inform our staff if they have symptoms.”
