Martin Dubé named Gatineau Flames GM
The Gatineau Flames Junior AAA hockey team recently announced a restructuring of their organization that would see Martin Dubé, originally of Fort-Coulonge, take charge as General Manager. Dubé was named the team’s director of hockey operations at the end of last year. In this latest staff shuffle, outgoing GM Martin Lahaie will stay on as vice-president of operations.
Dubé explained the differences between his previous role and the general manager position.
Dubé said that looking forward to the summer, they would be rebuilding the team after a disappointing 10th place finish in the league. He said he was looking to revamp their coaching staff and bring in younger players who are motivated to go to the higher levels of junior hockey.
