“I want to share this honor with the students, all the other teachers and the school administration. It is not so easy in the context of the pandemic that we are currently experiencing. I think everyone is making the necessary efforts, but we can’t wait to be able to see our students again in front of us, ”insists Martin Bertrand.

The outdoors has become an important facet at Sieur-de-Coulonge high school. Nature is integrated in different ways into many activities and there is no shortage of outdoor projects in Sieur-de-Coulonge.

“You know, it’s fashionable to talk about the outdoors right now in our schools in Quebec, but it’s very recent. With us, it’s been around for a long time. The Eco-Class project, the Ski in Parliament project and the establishment of the Plein Air program, these are just a few projects, ”explains Martin Bertrand.

On a personal level, Martin Bertrand hopes to pursue his great adventure projects. He has climbed the Aconcagua and hopes to climb Kilimanjaro in Kenya, but this time he hopes to be accompanied by people from the Pontiac community.
