There’s another candidate seeking the nomination of the Conservative Party of Canada for the Pontiac-Kitigan Zibi riding, Plateau resident Mark Buzan.

The owner of a consulting business for non-profit organizations, Buzan said that his motivation to enter federal politics was because “something in Canada is fundamentally wrong”.

With a long history in conservative circles, Buzan worked most recently with the Conservative Party of Quebec, and also previously worked for Jason Kenney during his time as a federal MP.  He said his personal relationship with Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre would be an asset if he receives the nomination for the riding.

Others seeking nomination who spoke with CHIP 101.9 include the candidate in the previous election Michel Gauthier, Chelsea resident Brian Goodman and Cantley municipal councillor Jean-Nicolas de Bellefeuille.

The full interview with Buzan (15m30) is available here.
