Mansfield man arrested for suspected impaired driving

At around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (May 7), police intercepted a vehicle for a highway safety code check on Hwy. 148 in Mansfield-et-Pontefract.

According to a statement from the SQ, after some checks the officer arrested the driver, a 29-year-old man from Mansfield, and took him to the station in Campbell’s Bay for tests from a drug recognition officer. He was released with a date at the Campbell’s Bay courthouse, where he could face charges for drug-impaired driving. His vehicle was impounded and his license suspended for 90 days.
