Man struck and killed outside Quyon

A 39-year-old man has died following a collision near Quyon on Saturday night.

At around 8:16 p.m. on March 19, officers were called to a scene near 1975 chemin du Lac-des-Loups close to Quyon, after a 39-year-old man was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead on scene by police.

On Monday, police identified the victim as Guillaume Breton of Pontiac.

According to police, the victim had stopped his truck along the road to give assistance to another vehicle that was in the ditch. He was outside his own vehicle when he was struck head-on by a 3rd vehicle coming the opposite direction.

The investigation is ongoing.
