Man arrested in Mansfield for suspected impaired driving

At around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night (May 6), officers from the local Sûreté du Québec detachment were called to chemin de la Chute in Mansfield-et-Pontefract for a vehicle that had gone off the road. After an investigation, officers arrested the driver, a 72-year-old man from Mansfield, and took him to the station for tests from a drug recognition officer.

He was released with a date at the Campbell’s Bay courthouse where he could face charges of driving while impaired by drugs. The vehicle was impounded.
