Man arrested, drugs and weapons seized following police raid in Fort-Coulonge
A Fort-Coulonge man was arrested and could be facing drug and weapons charges after police raided a home on rue Colton in Fort-Coulonge early this morning (March 13).
In a statement, police wrote that they began the investigation following a tip from the public. The man, 26, was arrested and released with a promise to appear at the Campbell’s Bay courthouse, where he could face charges related to the possession of narcotics for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Following a search of the residence, police seized:
- more than 100 methamphetamine tablets
- nearly 18 g of cocaine
- more than $1,200 in cash
- two prohibited weapons
- drug trafficking paraphernalia
SQ spokesperson Marc Tessier said that the weapons seized were brass knuckles and a modified crossbow.
