MAMH ensures that citizens have been heard and that their comments will be considered in the development of the draft decree

Following the public consultation that was held last Thursday on the draft Law for a special intervention zone, the Government of Quebec specified that the comments and suggestions that they have received during the meetings across the province will be taken into considered in spite of the proposed schedule course. The Director General of the Planning and Housing Branch of the ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation of Quebec, Stéphane Bouchard.

Thursday morning, the government also announced that “adjustments” will be made to the mapping outlines to “reflect more accurately the reality of the situation.”

The draft decree, announced on June 17th, will be established in “mid-July” according to the spokespersons for the Quebec government in Campbell’s Bay last Thursday. Residents can still voice their opinions until August 19th. This decree will be temporarily put in place while the government develops an action plan until December 2019.
