A grant of $ 15,000 will be given to the Maison des Jeunes du Pontiac Friday afternoon, January 24th, which will help the organization in carrying out of a project to improve youth employment opportunities and youth autonomy.

“It is so exciting to get the support to help our young people in the Pontiac,” said Désirée Tremblay of the Maison des jeunes du Pontiac . “We know they have great potential and we know they want to work and contribute to a better and stronger Pontiac. Many families will benefit from this project. Our young leaders will learn how to create social animation programs, offer them and become positive examples in the community.”

This funding was provided by the organizations Philanthropie Outaouais and the RBC Foundation as part of the “RBC Future Launch Community Challenge”. The Maison des jeunes du Pontiac is only one of the 150 recipients of this program across the country.

More details will be available on Monday, January 27th, in your local news.
