Over the weekend, the Québec community Radio stations gathered for Les Jours de la Radio in Quebec city. This year’s three-day conference allowed the community radio stations in Quebec, with some private radio stations, to hear speakers talk about the future of radio. This year, the importance for radio stations offering unique content, with a local flavor, on different platforms held the attention of all. The director of The Beat radio in Montreal, Paul Awad.
This new reality means that many radios will now have to adapt their organization to survive. The director of the CFIM-FM, a community radio station in the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, Charles-Eugene Cyr, believes that the information he has acquired during Les Jours de la Radio is the necessary information needed to transform his organization little-by-little.
