Legault governments’ decision to help certain media, but not radio stations
The various radio stations across Quebec reacted strongly to the government’s decision not to include radio stations in the media financial aid program. The reactions were met following a speech made by Quebec Premier François Legault:
These comments were made by François Legault, even though the Parliamentary Committee on the future of media is still ongoing at l’Assemblée nationale.
CHIP 101.9 recently spoke with the Executive Director of the l’Association des radios communautaires du Québec (ARCQ), Martin Bougie, on the subject.
The ARCQ is currently questioning the procedures and the transparency of the Quebec government in this matter.
