Launch of the federal election campaign: 2 upcoming debates in the Pontiac MRC
The federal election campaign will officially be launched today. In the riding of Pontiac, there are three important dates for voters so far.
First, on September 26th, the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce will hold a Candidate Forum starting at 6:30 pm at Recreation Center in the Campbell’s Bay, 2nd Street, which will be rebroadcasted on CHIP 101,9 following the Forum. Note that beforehand, the Chamber of Commerce will hold its AGM at 5:30 pm.
On October 2nd, CHIP 101,9 listeners will have the chance to hear from each of the main candidates whose parties are represented at the House of Commons during an electoral debate which will be presented live on the air between 11:30am and 1:00pm.
The elections will be held on October 21st and more details in regards to voting in your municipality will be available soon.
Note that up until now, the Candidates for Pontiac are: the incumbent Liberal MP for the Pontiac, William Amos for the Liberal Party, Dave Blackburn for Conservatives, Denise Giroux for the NDP, Claude Bertrand for the Green Party, Jonathan Carreiro-Benoit for Bloc Québécois and Mario Belec for the Peoples Party.
