The MRC Pontiac officially launched the service L’Arterre yesterday afternoon. L’Arterre is a free network service, focused on support and matching aspiring farmers and load owners located in the MRC Pontiac. CHIP’s François Carrier was at the event and spoke to the MRC’s warden Jane Toller who hopes that the service will attract new farmers;

Also on site, a young farmer from the Montreal area and a graduate of the University of Laval, Emmanuel Adé;

For Chakib Ahmimed of the MRC Pontiac, the goal is to answer all the questions by potential farmers so that we can support them to settle in the MRC Pontiac.

Under the theme L’ARTERRE, A SERVICE OF VITALITY AND TERRITORIAL OCCUPANCY, partners, aspiring farmers and producers in the region were able to obtain more information about this service.

A Cinq a Sept offered by the Table Agroalimentaire de l’Outaouais followed the launch of the L’ARTERRE program in the MRC Pontiac.
