“La rivière, initiations Outaouaises”: poetry on the Pontiac
The poetic book entitled “La rivière, initiations Outaouaises”, published on February 18th, tells the story of author Joel Pourbaix, who created stone statues along the Ottawa River in the late 1990s. In an interview with CHIP 101.9, the artist mentioned that, during his journey, the Pontiac became for him a place in Quebec that he particularly likes:
After almost ten years after his first artistic visit to the region, Mr. Pourbaix returned to the place where he created his statues in a “poetic adventure” along the Ottawa River, between Montreal and Rapides-des- Joachims, written and told in his 17th book.
The book ” La rivière, initiations Outaouaises “, 184 pages, published on February 18th, 2019 at Éditions du Noroît, is also available in digital form.
