Job offer – Municipality of Waltham – Fire Chief

The Municipality of Waltham is seeking a qualified Fire Chief to lead the local Fire Department. Reporting to the Director General, the Fire Chief will oversee firefighting operations, fire prevention, training, and departmental administration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Fire Department; develop budgets and plans.
• Direct firefighting operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Organize training, recruitment, and personnel evaluations.
• Collaborate with neighboring municipalities and participate in urban planning regarding fire hazards.

 

Qualifications:

• Experience in fire services, preferably in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of firefighting techniques, emergency management, and prevention.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
