Jean-Guy Brousseau wins Calumet council seat 4 in by-election
Jean-Guy Brousseau has been declared the winner of the by-election on L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet, claiming seat 4 this past Sunday (August 7), ahead of Rollande Normandeau and Francine Tremblay.
“I want to thank all those who voted for me, but at the council table I will be a councillor for all the citizens of the island,” he said (translated).
Brousseau previously served as a councilor for the municipality between 1997 and 2001. He told CHIP 101.9 that, in his opinion, the priorities of the municipal council should be road maintenance and work at the water treatment plant. The complete results of this by-election will be released soon.
