Jane Toller asks Pontiac residents not to travel between provinces
In her most recent update on the situation surrounding COVID-19, the Warden of the Pontiac MRC, Jane Toller, asked that Pontiac citizens not to travel to Ontario and encourage local purchasing.
Jane Toller also confirmed that the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais has received directives not to issue COVID-19 data per MRC. This data will now be published by urban or rural cases: the urban area is defined by the region of Ville de Gatineau, the rural area including the other MRC in the Outaouais (Pontiac, Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, Collines-de -l’Outaouais and Papineau).
As cases have been confirmed in rural areas, Jane Toller is asking the population to consider that these cases may be located in the Pontiac and that it is necessary to act accordingly.
