Island Fest coming to Chapeau next weekend

Island Fest is returning to the Municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes next weekend (August 16-17), bringing together the community to fundraise for local non-profit groups.

Community development coordinator Chantal Lair explained that folks should prepare their best retro outfits for a new roller skate event they’re holding on the Saturday at the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex.

Entertainment will include the Reg Carkner Band at 8 p.m. on Friday, with Ryan Ziggs and the Zaggs as well as  Adam Buoys who will perform on Saturday afternoon.
