investments of $16 582 721 in Outaouais schools
Today(March 19) the Quebec Government announcement, that $16.6 million will be invested in the maintenance and upgrading of educational facilities in the Outaouais region.
An amount of $16 582 721 will be allocated to the five school boards in the region for 77 infrastructure projects to be carried out during the summer of 2018.

The $16.6 is part of $740 million province wide allocation for the renovation work to educational facilities.
This is in addition to the $400 million announced in June 2017 for the construction and expansion of schools throughout Québec.
On top of that $832 796 has been allocated to foster educational success in the Outaouais region to support actions fostering student retention and success spearheaded by the Instances régionales de concertation (IRCs), an additional $832 796 will be allocated to the Table de l’éducation Outaouais inc. for the 2017-2018 school year.
There are IRCs in every region of Québec and their objective is to mobilize regional stakeholders and create local partnerships in order to promote conditions for educational success. The mission and structure of each IRC are unique, since each one is adapted to the specific challenges of the region it serves.
