Following the interview with the mayor of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes Winston Sunstrum, that according to his interpretation, the resolution surrounding the bio-park had been adopted, according to his understanding at the meeting of the mayors of the MRC Pontiac on January 20. The Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller, provided more details on the position. Jane Toller says she understood that the resolution was postponed to the next plenary meeting.

“To me, it was clear to my understanding that the resolution was not passed because it lacked details,” says Jane Toller. It is for this reason that she says she uses her right of veto, as the law stipulates for this purpose. She also criticizes certain mayors for the way they proceed to table the resolution.

In response to CHIP 101.9’s question about her position, the Warden also said that she was not there to tell fairy tales, but to do things well. “Too often, there have been cases such as Livewell which promised several jobs and unprecedented development for the Pontiac, but nothing happened. I’m not here to tell fairy tales, ”said Jane Toller.

A meeting on the subject of the forestry industry is expected to take place in the next few days. The Warden, Jane Toller, has already said she hopes this meeting can lead to a consensus.
