Ile-du-Grand-Calumet intervention Plan for its road infrastructure
The municipality of L’Ile-du-Grand-Calumet plans the implement of an intervention plan for its road infrastructure in the coming weeks. The director general of the municipality, Sabrina Larivière, gave more details.
In the fall of 2019, the municipality hired an engineering firm to assess the roads in its territory (type, mileage, location of culverts, condition, etc.). An action plan should be put in place over the next few months so that the municipal council can determine priorities for repairing road infrastructure. The Government of Canada and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) are helping to fund the creation of the engineering firm’s report with $28,400 in funding as announced earlier this week as part of the Programme de gestion des actifs municipaux.
