Hwy. 148 temporarily closed for TransporAction mini-bus in ditch, no injuries
Yesterday’s windy weather caused a mini-bus operated by local collective transportation group TransporAction Pontiac to get stuck in the ditch in Bristol Monday afternoon, temporarily closing Hwy. 148.
Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier said that they were called at around 5 p.m. on January 28 near the intersection of Hwy. 148 and Wharf Road, where the mini-bus had gone into the ditch. He said that the highway was temporarily closed for around half an hour while the bus was pulled back onto the road.
TransporAction Director General Sylvie Bertrand told CHIP 101.9 in a French-language interview that there were no passengers on board at the time and the driver wasn’t injured. She said a large gust of wind caused the bus to go off the road and added that the damage to the vehicle was very minor.
