Human resources advisor at the MRC Pontiac
Reporting to the Deputy Director General, the successful candidate will play a central role in human resources management. Their responsibilities will include:
- recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new employees;
- managing administrative files, probationary periods, and follow-ups with managers;
- applying collective agreements, internal policies, and labour laws;
- participating in union meetings and processing workplace accident and occupational disease claims; coordinating occupational health and safety activities;
- updating vacation schedules and supporting employee development programs;
- and contributing to various special projects, including pay equity and job description reviews.
This position requires a people-oriented approach, strong administrative skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Profile
The MRC is seeking a candidate with:
- an undergraduate degree in human resources or a related field
- at least three years of relevant experience
- excellent command of French and a good knowledge of English
- a thorough understanding of labour laws
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and technological tools
- membership in the Ordre des CRHA (Quebec Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals) is an asset
Favorable working conditions
This position is offered as a temporary assignment for a minimum of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Conditions include:
- a 35-hour work week
- 15 statutory holidays and 12 sick days per year
- annual vacation
- a salary based on the current salary scale and the candidate’s experience
