Honda is recalling more than 118,000 vehicles in Canada due to a problem with a tire repair kit that could become dangerous if used improperly.
The affected models are the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Honda Accord Hybrid, from model years 2023 to 2026.
According to the manufacturer, an improper connection could lead to pressure building up in the sealant bottle, potentially causing it to detach and resulting in injury.
Honda states that it has received a few reports of incidents, none of which have resulted in injuries in Canada.
Affected owners will be contacted and can obtain a free repair at their dealership.
In the event of a flat tire, it is recommended to contact roadside assistance and not to use the repair kit.
