Heat warning for the Pontiac
On Wednesday, September 5, Environment Canada issued a heat warning. The combination of high temperatures and humidity will put the temperature at over 40. A cold front is moving in from the west that will bring temperatures closer to the seasonal norms Thursday morning. This front could be accompanied by strong thunderstorms.
The heat risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, the elderly, people with chronic diseases and those who work or exercise outdoors.
Environment Canada reminds everyone to never leave people or animals in a parked vehicle.
