Head-On Collision on Chemin des Outaouais in L’Île-du-Grand-Calumet
A head-on collision between two vehicles occurred around 9:10 a.m. Saturday on Chemin des Outaouais, near Chemin de la Mine at the entrance to the island.
Officers from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) station in Campbell’s Bay were dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, the lives of those involved are not believed to be at risk, though the investigation is still underway. Police say impaired driving by one of the drivers may have been a factor.
