Freezing rain anticipated Wednesday
Environment Canada has issued a weather alert for the Pontiac region, as freezing rain is anticipated across the western Quebec on Wednesday.
“A warm front associated with a low pressure system from Colorado will move into the province of Quebec Wednesday,” the statement reads. “Along the front, an area of freezing rain could leave significant freezing rain amounts over the western part of the province as well as over areas north of the St. Lawrence Valley and central regions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots could become icy, slippery and dangerous. Many power outages are also possible.”
